Anyone can join a gym, but what will you have after a year of
working out? Sure, you'll be physically fit if you stick to the commitment, but what
kind of life skills will you have acquired? Why not consider attending Taekwondo
classes? For about the same cost as a gym membership, you will not only be
developing your body, but also your mind.
A proud member of the American Taekwondo Association (ATA),
at Spradlin's Taekwondo Family Fitness Center
in Lake Havasu City, AZ, we teach our students Songahm
Taekwondo. The Songahm style of Taekwondo was developed by Eternal
Grand Master H.U. Lee. Encompassing 18 forms, Eternal Grand Master H.U. Lee
introduced this style of Taekwondo from 1983 to 1990.
The Songahm Taekwondo
teaching style enables students to transition smoothly from one rank to the next,
building on the skill sets already learned. Based on three basic moves/techniques
(hand movements, kicks and stances), students must master the skills and competence
necessary within each rank and successfully demonstrate what they have learned to advance
to a higher rank.
Not just a self-defense program, training in Songahm Taekwondo focuses on the development of
mind and body. While being involved in a physical self-defense activity, students at
Spradlin's Taekwondo are in a true Taekwondo
class, fostering courtesy, discipline, honor, loyalty, perseverance, respect and
self-control.
Spradlin's Taekwondo
welcomes students of all ages and all levels of physical fitness and abilities. We offer classes ranging from Tiny Tigers (for ages 3-6 years), to children's & teen classes, to family classes. Our class schedule is such that most everyone should be able to find
classes that will work with their own personal schedules.
